God Makes US Stand

Who are you to judge another’s servant? To his own master he stands or falls. Indeed, he will be made to stand, for God is able to make him stand. Romans 14:4

Many Christians are on fire and are doing a great work for the Kingdom, yet there are many people outside the circle of believers who think Christians are not really doing what they should. Some may think they are just using excuses; however there is no greater love then the love of Jesus and everyone should feel that wonderful sensation, excuses or not! So, I challenge everyone, even myself, to show the love and the light of Jesus this week (more then usual, and with people outside our normal circle), even if it is in the simplest of ways let's try to reach as many of those in our community as we can who have never been touched by the love of Christ before...

Even if we just let someone go before us in the grocery line, and tell them Jesus love them; or if we smile at someone passing by and tell them Jesus loves them; or when we buy our self a pop buy an extra and give it away and let them know "Jesus loves them"... it doesn't take much effort to show the love and compassion of Jesus, sometimes it's all about being in the right place at the right time, and BAM the connection is made! We just have to seize the moment, and before you know it a seed is planted ~ It's that simple!

Let us go Forth; one will plant, one will water, and God will give the increase!

Over Flow

OVER FLOW

My frustration level has been a little high lately, but I am still trying to see my spiritual glass - not as half empty or as half full, but over flowing. After all, I am filled with the Spirit of an Almighty God!

See, my heart breaks when ever I see Christian's mistreat one another. God is no respecter of person; stature should not matter. So, when I get this frustrated I like to listened to one of my favorite Casting Crowns songs “At Your Feet”… and placed all my worries all at the feet of Jesus.

Place all my worries and cares at the feet of Jesus knowing there is hope for all when I express the unconditional agape` love of Jesus, because his love will fill me up and overflow and fill someone else to the rim of their spiritual glass as well. Then they will overflow and fill someone else with the love of Jesus.

Just think it all began at the feet of Jesus; where the river of life begins to flow. I place the hurt and pain at the feet of Jesus; he refreshed me; gave me peace and filled me with the love he had for all; from the bottom of my feet to the top of my head and then some! Thanks Casting Crowns! What a great song!

Just the Beginning

Just the Beginning

Well, today is the first day of my blog. Though I know it may not always be easy, it is very exciting, even if it is a road to the unknown.

I will admit I do not know much Biblical theology, so I will keep it simple and real for the most part. Christians and no-Christians alike can sense there is a lack of love across denominational lines. Although it is hard to except what some believe, and we are warned of those in error, it is dangerous for us to continue to walk with discord with one another. To point the judgmental finger of right and wrong is no different then those rebuked for finding the sliver in their brother’s eye, when they have a plank in their own.

Times have changed; words have changed, but the same devil roams the earth desiring to divide and conquer God’s people and we have to stop giving him room to divide us. Use caution, but do not fear. For God does not give us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind!

Walk in the reverence of God, respecting the fact that his hand is not shortened that it can not save or his ear too heavy that it can not hear, instead of walking in the fear of being in error. For God desires mercy over sacrifice, so as we step out in our calling let us remember we are loved while we are YET sinners.

I will be the first to let you know, I don’t have all the answers and I don’t always understand, so I am sure I will get a lot of people to tell me how wrong about something along the way. Which is alright, it won’t be the first time, and it won’t be the last. However, what I do know and understand is there are many of God’s little ones leaving the church and not returning because they think it is full of hypocrites. Also, many would rather avoid church then embrace the cross, which will set them free. That is a heavy cross to bear, and it is not one that Jesus carried. Jesus said himself, “For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”

I have been told how wrong I was many times; my testimony stolen right out from my heart. I myself have told other how wrong they were, robbing them of their testimony. At some point we all cross the line of offense, but it is a new year and the time to forgive and be forgiven is here. So, I bow before the Lord humbled, reaching out to all my brothers and sisters in Christ in the purest form of love I know that is in our Savior asking you to continue this journey with me as we learn together.

I have seen many be turned away and driven from the arms of Christ only to fall into the hands of the enemy. I am tired of the devil gaining ground over God’s people, and I am determined to take back all the territory he has tried claiming – In Jesus name, of course!
